The 5 kilometer walk to the gulf has some shade, 7 covered seating areas and one more restroom halfway along the course. Birds, trees, native flowers, deer, etc. along the path. Gulf View is amazing. Trail is more rustic and dam pygmy rattlesnakes. Swifts, bats, cormorants, anhingas and fish surround the lake. Many people bike and others the blacktop trail/canoe/kayak the canal.
